In August 2024, a team of medical volunteers from the Open Wings Foundation visited Madagascar to provide assistance where it was most needed. Over the course of two weeks, 31 surgeries were performed, including 17 on children, as well as gynecological consultations and examinations for 75 women.

One of the most moving moments of the mission was the dramatic rescue of a newborn who showed no signs of life after birth. After 40 minutes of intensive resuscitation, they were able to save the baby. The child was named Dalico Vonjiniaina, which translates to “Gift of Life”.

The center of medical activities was the Clinique Médicale BEYZYM hospital in Manerinerina, run by Daniel Kasprowicz. The mission took place under the honorary patronage of the Polish Embassy in Nairobi and ended in tremendous success. In addition to medical care, the foundation provided the hospital with equipment, medicines, and other essential materials that will allow for continued assistance on-site.
